Fisher Price Jumperoo

We recently bought a jumperoo after a friend recommended buying one and we love it!

We paid £85 from Argos. They are usually £100+ but they often have special offers. My baby loves looking around and sitting up so the jumperoo works perfectly for her to see the world from an upright position.

It has 3-4 toys and the seat rotates. You can also remove the cover to wash which is handy. It also has three settings to adjust the height of the seat.

It plays music as baby bounces or you can set it to continually play music.

Overall I would definitely recommend the jumperoo to anyone who has a nosy baby like mine or to anyone who's baby likes to bounce.

Pregnancy: the best bits

So following on from yesterday's post about the worst parts of pregnancy - go check that post out if you haven't already.

The best parts of pregnancy for me:

1. Seeing your baby at the scans. It's so magically to see your baby each time and seeing how much they've changed since the last scan.

2. Hearing their heartbeat.

3. Feeling your baby move - this is definitely one of the best parts for me.

4. Monitoring your bump grow. I loved taking photos of my bump each month.

5. Having a good excuse to sit down and watch your husband do the cooking and cleaning! Haha!

6. Buying all the bits for your new baby. Shopping for your new baby is one of the most exciting things! I loved buying all the clothes and nursery equipment.

7. Over eating without feeling guilty....

8. Finding out the gender. Some people choose not to find out their babies gender but for us this was something we were really excited to find out!

9. Always getting a seat on a train or bus - people do generally tend to give up their seat to pregnant women - unless their an arsehole.

10. The excitement for nine months waiting for your baby to be born!

Bank holiday

This bank holiday is going to be a quiet one for us. Tomorrow I am working in the morning then in the afternoon we are going house hunting! The last few houses we have looked at have been, well lets just say not what we are looking for. We are looking for a nice family house in a nice area with good schools because we are planning on staying there for a few years at least. So far we have only found very small houses with no parking or very limited parking at least.

On Sunday we are chilling out. We both work full time so any days free we like to just spend relaxing. We might have a walk just to get some fresh air. It's actually forecast to be sunny in the UK over the bank holiday for once so all the more reason to get out and enjoy the sunshine!

Monday is probably going to be spent doing some planning for work and doing all the washing for the week.

What are your plans for this bank holiday?

Pregnancy: the bad bits

So any of my readers who have been pregnant before I'm sure can relate to some if not all of this list.

1. Heartburn - I got terrible heartburn as soon as my head hit the pillow! My saviour was Tums.

2. Morning sickness - let me just say not necessarily confined to the morning..all day, everyday for the entire pregnancy for some. Luckily for me I had it from week 8-26 everyday and then it would be every now and again until the end.

3. Feeling like a whale - towards the end some people get a huge baby bump, making them feel like a whale. Imagine a the extra weight you're carrying around and especially if your in a hot climate!

4. Smells - things you may have loved prior to pregnancy such as lavender now the tiniest sniff of them may send you running to the sick bowl!

5. Foods you can't eat - certain cheeses, eggs if not hard boiled, sushi, pâté ..... So if your a lover of sushi or cheese is your thing it can become annoying when your friends or husband sits there munching on toast with pâté and you really, really want some!

6. Gas - yes pregnancy can cause you to become very gassy.

7. Acne - some people can suffer with ache while pregnant, it's like your hormones revert back to adolescents.

8. No hot baths - if you're like me I love nothing more than a hot bath, like being boiled like a lobster...OK not quite that got but you know what I mean!

9. Endless appointments - to be honest I quite enjoyed all my anti natal appointments and injections don't bother me, I'm RH- anyway so I had more than my fair share, but some people hate all the appointments to check your blood pressure and give you another needle in the arm!

10. Inability to walk - this for me was by far the worst. Towards the end only being able to walk about 1/4 of a mile before needing to rest. I love walking and we walk nearly every weekend to our local shops which are about a mile each way and not being able to do so made me feel trapped.

Although pregnancy has its annoyances and its parts which make you down right fed up, once you hold your baby in your arms it all gets forgotten and although I had terrible morning sickness and heartburn I enjoyed my pregnancy and it had its up sides too. But that is for another post....

What were your worst parts of pregnancy?
